Hand Printed Relief Print, 8”x10”, Deep Red Ink, gold acrylic paint and black marker, archival paper. The print is made from a piece of tooled and stamped leather. First the design is made using traditional western-style tools and stamps. Hammering the stamps puts their imprints on the leather piece. Ink rolled on the leather then prepares it for the printing press. The pressure of rolling through the press forces the very-thin layer of ink onto the paper. Results vary due to all analog process.
